These two fields are handled differently from the rest of the form. We need your Social Security number and date of birth to pull credit and verify your identity — but they are encrypted on this page, in your browser, before anything is transmitted.

  • Your browser locks these values with your loan originator’s public key, then sends only the locked result.
  • Our server stores that locked block and passes it along without being able to open it. Neither can our email provider.
  • Only the matching private key — kept offline, never on any server — can unlock them, and only your loan originator has it.
  • The notification your originator receives shows the last four digits of your SSN so they can identify your file, and nothing more.
